Sheffield Showcase
Elizabeth has been selected to showcase her Hope&Glory range in Sheffield’s city centre as part of a project funded by Sheffield City Council and co-ordinated by the council in partnership with Creative Sheffield and The Source. The dynamic initiative offers a platform for local businesses and creative individuals to contribute to the improvement of the city by showcasing their wares within the window spaces. Council Leader Paul Scriven, says: "This isn't just window dressing - far from it. We want to showcase the best up and coming talent Sheffield has to offer”.
Sheffield Retail & Fashion Week
Elizabeth was delighted to be invited to show five outfits from the Hope&Glory range as part of a spectacular fashion show held at Sheffield’s controversial ‘Cheese Grater’ car park on September 9, 2009. Wayne Hemingway, style guru and co-founder of Red or Dead, was amongst the guests and expressed his approval of the Hope&Glory range. The show producer, Beverley of Glam Productions, said that the Hope&Glory garments were “fantastic and added so much to the over all feel of the show”. You can see these outfits on the clothes&shows pages of our website.
Art in the Gardens 2009
Following the success and popularity of the Floral ImPACT fashion shows at Art in the Gardens 2008, Elizabeth was delighted to be asked to show her range again this year. The Hope&Glory fashion shows proved once again to be a highlight of the event and attracted a large crowd at all four shows. You can see all the outfits from the shows on the clothes&shows pages of our website.
A million thankyous go to all our wonderful models who gave up so much of their time to help with the shows, to all the backstage volunteers, and to Sam Atkin for the fantastic hair and Rachel Zorniak for the exquisite make-up. If you would like more information about Sam or Rachel please contact us for details.
Hope&Glory T-shirt Competition We had some fantastic entries for our competition to ‘Design a T-shirt and help kids with cancer’ and after much deliberation selected Maisie Gleeson, Amber Willis, Rory Follin, Katie Harford-Hill, and Rory Shuttleworth as our winners. You can see the finished T-shirts in the childrens gallery on our clothes&shows pages or see the winners modelling their designs on the catwalk at Art in the Gardens 2009.
The competition was featured in the Sheffield Telegraph, Westside, Exposed magazine and the Sheffield Star, and Elizabeth was invited to talk live on air about the competition to Gareth Evans on BBC Radio Sheffield’s morning show. Competition entries and donations made at the show raised in excess of £500 for PACT.
